Training: Day Nine

Today marks day NINE of running for me!! *takes a bow* I am anxious to get out on the track tonight and add a little to the mile and a half I have been running for the past couple of days, so that should be fun. Kaitlyn came out to run with Andy and me yesterday and she smoked our booties! Of course, she is a 23 year old athlete, so the odds are in her favor, but she definitely motivated us to push harder!
My sister found an 8K Turkey Trot (4.97 miles) which runs on Thanksgiving that I really really want to do; however, that is ten days away and I'm only at 1.5 miles, so as the Magic 8 Ball would say: Outlook Not So Good. I'm not going to give up, though...I like having goals, even if they are impossible to reach! My ultimate goal is to run the half marathon in April with my sister and since it is five months away, I still feel optimistic about that! Okay, so this marks the end of my training update for this week...catch up on the subject again next week! Stay tuned!!

I have never had so much running fun as when I ran the OKC half marathon with my sister. We stayed together the entire time and ended up singing the last 4-5 miles. LOUD. I am sure the people around us thought we were nuts (and we probably are). But, i was a complete blast and I HIGHLY recommend! Good luck and let me know if you need any motivation! ;-)

Yeah.. So I didn't get to go running today.. because I was at work.. Boo! I worked 5-9am went to class 10-1:30.. then went BACK to work 2-6:30... I am just Exhausted!

But tomorrow I will hit the gym fo'sho! I have my back packed.. and iPod loaded! I am going for 1.25 miles of running time.. even if I have to be on the treadmill for 40 minutes.. I can Do it!

There was a marathon here on Sunday... The Route 66 Marathon...

I am so proud (and jealous) of your running skills! It will just make me have to work a LOT harder!

More Power to you for running. Im lucky to find time to get to the gym and work out. I'm getting better because of Leigh's wedding coming up and then my 30th a week later so have to start looking good. Check out the pictures I added them for you.

Doing good, Sista'! I walked three miles last night and have to get two more times in this week, then it is on to 4 miles.

I am having a lot of fun, but I am a little worried about the half marathon. We will see how it goes.

Tell Andy to get his mind off the playboy mansion! Come to think of it...if I were 'that' Holly, I would have people to look after me and clean up my place...

I am so impressed with you. I hope you know that and your enthusiasm is a motivation for me, although I don't like running in the cold. It hurts my lungs and since I'm 42 I"m sure I could die of pnumonia really easily, so I'd better be careful. lol
