Midnight Streak - July 25, 2009

Last night at 11:00 p.m., I ran my second out of ten 5K's for my Bucket List. I participated in the Midnight Streak [no we didn't run naked] and it felt GREAT...plus I beat my previous run time by a little over 2 minutes--I ran 3.1 miles in 31:09!!! So. Excited. About. This!!!

I followed up my run with a late night IHOP meal. Nothing better than eggs and greasy bacon after a nice run, right???

Here's a picture of my watch. I don't know how I'm ever going to time something else and be forced to delete this...b/c I highly doubt I will ever be able to beat this time!!!

You're an asshole lopez, I need to start running again.

3.1 miles that quick is really impressive, the eggs and bacon is a deserving award lol.

What's the bucket list for??? A list of fun before kids? Or, just a list? You are getting a good start on it.

I definitely do not have anything athletic on my bucket list. Mine is mostly places that I would like to travel. I am paying down my debt to go some fabulous places.

I'm feeling exhausted just reading this post ... but well done for making such a great time!

Hope you had a nice big slice of fried bread with those eggs & bacon :P

Ps: Love, love, love the new pic :)

I am so incredibly proud of you, Lopez :)

Oh, and thanks for posting those little gems on facebook. If I had any embarrassing middle school photos of you, I would...do the exact same thing :)

Congrats, lady!

3 back-to-back 10 minute miles in this kind of heat is a great job. Nice picture btw!

Christ..... I ran around the block and needed an IV drip full of deep heat. I know you'd say it's all in the training but really... I think I'd die out there. 3.1 miles..... it just doesn't bear thinking about....

First off...I would like to say that I am really excited to read these comments! These people around here seem to think a 5K is no big deal, but 3.1 miles is flippin' far...especially in this Oklahoma heat/humidity. Even at 11:30 at night! So thank you for that.

and thank you, also, G.I. and Eric for the photo approval! Yay! Happiness!

Hit - my 'bucket list' is just a 30 things to do before i turn 30 thing...so fun stuff there!

Eric - I know that you can appreciate this incredible heat/humidity we are having...since you are one state below!
